Easy Access Bubble Forms
Bubble sheets have become the go-to resource for teachers trying to quickly and easily give and grade pop quizzes, unit exams, cumulative assessments, and other student tests. Even without an integrated technology component that can scan and score such bubble forms, teachers often still find manually grading them with an answer key to be faster and simpler than hand grading multi-page, student-completed question-and-answer pages.
When using an easy grader scanning system that utilizes bubble sheets, the forms are typically proprietary, meaning that they must be purchased on an ongoing basis. This is not cost-effective and limits the format options available because the sheets are preprinted. Sometimes, generic bubble forms can be purchased in bulk relatively inexpensively or downloaded as printable PDFs. This also limits the format options, but it at least helps minimize the associated costs compared to proprietary forms.
Free Bubble Sheet Forms
The only thing teachers have less of than time is resources, which means free, downloadable, and printable bubble sheets can provide a workable solution in a pinch. Fortunately, there are many of these options available online, offering differing numbers of questions, types of answers, and an array of formats. Since these bubble sheets are not customizable, the students simply use the portions of the form that correspond to their test and leave the rest of the answer form blank.
Of course, these individual generic bubble sheets can’t be auto-graded to calculate scores or record any feedback on individual students or classes. Given education’s move toward more responsive learning environments and formative assessments, this lack of usability post-test presents a challenge. To meet the modern demands for data and accountability, teachers have to generate this data manually when using most free bubble sheet forms.
Print Custom Bubble Sheets
Gradient offers fully customizable bubble sheets with an array of answer-type options, like multiple-choice, true/false, number grids, rubrics, and even fill-in-the-blank, that can be linked to existing or custom standards. Gradient forms can be printed on regular paper – even laminated for re-use – and then scanned and scored using any mobile, computer, or document camera. No costly new software, equipment, or proprietary forms are required.
Best of all, Gradient not only grades in a snap, it also generates flexible reports and instantly transfers grades into any digital gradebook. Plus, reports can be shared with peers and/or administrators, perfect for Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)! Setup is just as fast and easy, which means minimal professional development for teachers and administrators alike.
